Taytay's Bolivian empanadas are worth the trip to Saavedra. Bolivian empanadas' fillings are more stew like, juicy, meaty, and if done right, spicy. Taytay's empanadas started out really spicy, but I can imagine the locals complained. I noticed that the spice diminished with each visit, but I promise that the flavor did not.

The menu is limited - with meat, chicken, ham and cheese, and humita. Sometimes they serve locro and stews as well. The wine list is well curated, fittingly mostly from the Northwest.

I recommend dining in versus take away, to avoid the dough getting mushy from all that juicy filling.
