Comandante Luis Piedra Buena Pier is one of two piers in Madryn. This pier receives the cruise ships who make port in Puerto Madryn. This is a bustling but fun port with tourists coming and going and locals coming to fish.

Go for a walk down the pier to see the ships and for a panoramic view of the city behind you. If it's whale watching season (June-late November) then you may see whales swimming. Sea lions also often swim underneath your feet here.

La Rambla, El Paseo Costera: From this pier until the monumento al indio Tehuelche is a 5 kilometer (3 mile) walk along the beach. This is a fun way to see Puerto Madryn by foot. Go for lunch along the way at the many seaside restaurants and end the day by the Indio Tehuelche Monumente with a visit to the Ecocentro and epic sunset views from Punta Cuevas.
