Playa Lago Correntoso is my favorite beach to relax on the lake when in Villa La Angostura. It is a short drive north of the city center on Ruta 40, follow GPS down the dirt road reach this public beach.

When I need to rest in VLA or let my kids run around, it isn't the park or playground we go to, it's here. The sandy beach is ideal for sitting with a snack or mate. The kids play on the logs and throw rocks into the water.

During summer season there are restaurants right on the beach and you can rent kayaks or take yoga classes on the sand.

Mid season travel is ideal, allowing you to have the beach more to yourself.

Parking: Just park alongside the road behind the beach. It's free but limited. In busy, summer season will get crowded and quickly.
