The Torre Monumental, also known as the Torre de los Ingleses, was built in 1916 on the site of the Retiro Gas Works, this 60-meter tower offers a panoramic view of the Retiro neighborhood.

It's an affordable rooftop view of the Retiro train stations and train lines, the slums of infamous Villa 31 contrasting with the wealthy Retiro neighborhood and Plaza San Martin. It doesn't take much time and at such a low entrance fee it's definitely worth taking the time to do to be able to see the city from a different point of view.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm

  • Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10 am to 6 pm
