Coghlan is a small neighborhood, often lumped together with Belgrano or Saavedra in the minds of most locals. But NO, it is not Belgrano. It is a barrio in its own right, one full of history and neighborhood pride. I lived here for 11 years, it has a bit of a small town feel in the middle of a big city. The residents love it, it's easy to see why.
🛝 Playgrounds - The neighborhood centers around the Plaza Estación Coghlan and its train station. There are two book themed playgrounds - one on either side of the station, you can take the iconic wrought iron bridge to cross over. This is a great playground for summer as it is a rare one with shade.
☕Cafe in the park - There is a small cafe next to the train station where you can purchase a cafe and pastry to sit and enjoy in the park.
🍝 Dining nearby - My favorite restaurant is Vicente, a bodegon half a block from the train station - they make great fresh pasta and steaks.
