Mirador Inalco is a major viewpoint of Lago Nahuel Huapi at the start (or end depending on your route) of the 7 Lakes Route in Villa La Angostura.
I say major because it has a large parking lot and a lot of traffic passing through. Vendors stop to sell hippie jewelry and trinkets. Tour buses stop for photos.
Stop here to bookend your drive along the 7 Lakes Route, take in the enormity of Lago Nahuel Huapi and the Andes behind her.
Mind the barriers: As you can see in one of the photos, many seem to feel that the barriers don't apply to them. For the love of all things holy - and your safety - don't step over the barriers. Getting the perfect photo isn't worth sliding down the mountain.
Inalco - Hitler's Estate? If you're a WWII history buff, you may have heard of the Inalco Estate. This home is rumored - by conspiracy theorists - to be where Hitler ran to after WWII. The truth is Hitler died in the bunker, but the truth could also be that this estancia had a dark history. Many Nazis DID flee to this corner of the world. But instead of trying to get a peak at this abandoned property (that is impossible to see from this viewpoint or from the road, anyway) - I recommend going on this German History Tour in Bariloche. You'll learn the truth from the rumor in German history in this region (including and beyond the Nazis).
