Esquina Diego Armando Maradona, located at the intersection of Segurola and Habana in quiet, residential Villa Devoto.
Maradona lived in this apartment with his family. He announced the address to the world after an explosive game, playing for Boca in 1995. Fighting with Julio Cesar Toresani throughout the game, he challenged him afterwards by telling the reporter his address and declaring "let's see if he lasts 30 seconds with me..."
Ever since he yelled his address into the cameras after that infamous game this corner has been (yet another) shrine to the futbol legend. The street sign has been covered with his name, covering the actual street names. Fans decorate the sign with stickers. A plaque declares the building as cultural interest.
To dig more into Maradona history and lore - visit the La Paternal neighborhood. This team was his first team and they gifted him his first home just a block from the stadium.
