For an authentic Patagonia experience you can never beat a ranch day at a historic estancia whether for a day or overnight stay. It's an hour and a half south of Puerto Madryn, making it a much easier day trip than Punta Tombo (which is 3 hours south). It's also a much more complete experience as you'll get to explore the ranch, have a full lamb lunch, and other activities.

When: El Pedral is open for dias de campo from September 15 through April 15. The hotel is open from November 1.
