Río Correntoso claims to be the shortest river in the world, connecting Nahuel Huapi and Correntoso lakes. And it is just 300 meters so if it isn't THE shortest is is one of them.

When you drive on Ruta 40 you'll fly over this tiny river, but if you drive down to the beach of Lago Correntoso you'll drive alongside the river. There is room to pull over on either side for photos.

There is a wooden footbridge to cross over to the other side but reports in 2024 were that it was dismantled for repairs.
