La Bandada is a charming traditional Argentinian estancia just outside San Miguel del Monte. Its colonial-style house is surrounded by lush gardens. You can spend the day horseback riding, with polo lessons, and or just relaxing by the pool.

Each room is unique with curated antiques and heavenly soft beds. We visited in fall and they had a fire waiting for us at sunset for us when we came back from birdwatching. And speaking of birdwatching, they'll print a list of local birds to look for as you walk the property. This was our favorite, walking among the horses at sunset!

I always recommend timing a stay at La Bandada for the final days of your trip. If you've been busy hiking in Patagonia or touring Iguazu, you'll be grateful for this slower pace and luxury stay to end the trip. The ranch is also conveniently located for a drive to the airport without any city traffic in the way.
