There's nothing wrong with not eating Portuguese food all the time when you are on Madeira. There's much more to the food scene on this island. We are particularly big fans of Indian food and Funchal happens to have a number of great Indian restaurants. We have been to this one many times and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is not the greatest, but it's still alright when you sit outside. Service is friendly and there are rarely people, which sometimes is a good thing for us, hehe.
