Cala del Moraig is one of those spectacular hidden gems along the Costa Blanca that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Tucked between Moraira and Jávea, this cove of about 300 metres lies nestled in a dramatic setting of cliffs, lush vegetation and turquoise water that invites you to dive in from the first moment.

You can’t drive all the way down to the beach; there’s parking at the top, followed by a walk down a path. It feels like earning your view. During the high season, the parking fee is €15, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when planning your visit.

Even though it’s somewhat secluded, Moraig offers excellent facilities: lifeguards in season, daily cleaning, accessible walkways, amphibious chairs, toilets, showers and even a designated section of the beach certified for naturist use.

One of its biggest draws is the Cova dels Arcs, a sea-carved cave you can swim into when the sea is calm. There’s also a viewpoint above the cove that gives you a sweeping outlook over the cliffs and the Mediterranean, especially magical at sunrise or late afternoon when the light is soft.

Just a tip: if you go in summer, arrive early. The parking fills up quickly and later in the day it can become crowded. But even so, Cala del Moraig strikes a lovely balance of beauty, calm and wild charm. It’s perfect if you’re looking for nature, snorkelling and a break from the larger beaches of the Costa Blanca.
