Bring a travel card such as Monzo, Revolut or Wise to get the best exchange rates and avoid unnecessary fees when paying in different currencies.

ATMs are widely available across Bali, with BCA, Mandiri, HSBC and BNI being the most reliable options. You won’t need to carry large amounts of cash, but it’s always useful to have some on hand for small vendors and local warungs.

Get a local SIM card on arrival at the airport for easy access to data and navigation. Telkomsel is the most reliable provider across the island. You’ll need your passport for registration.

Laundry services are available almost everywhere and are very affordable. However, be mindful with delicate or white clothing, as quality can vary and shrinkage or damage can happen.

For groceries, head to Pepito, Popular or Frestive for a more international selection. For quick snacks and everyday essentials, Alfamart and Circle K are found everywhere.
