Rain in Garmisch is never a welcomed thing, but it is a reality. Almost everything there is to do in Garmisch revolves around being outside. Some activities can continue in the rain if you have the right clothes, but sometimes it’s just too much.
Here are some alternatives to consider if the weather isn’t cooperating with you:
Munich: several museums and indoor attractions here.
Go see a movie in Munich: some movies are available in English (OV, original version).
Swarovski Kristallwelten near Innsbruck is mostly indoors.
Pools: indoor pools in Grainau, Ehrwald, & Oberammergau
Therme Erding, huge waterpark just outside of Munich with a wave pool and plenty of waterslides
Tegernsee Phantisch indoor amusement park
