Exuma International Airport (GGT) is very small, but it does offer direct flights from Miami (MIA) (American), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) (Bahamas Air - Seasonal), Atlanta (ATL) (Delta - Seasonal), and Charlotte (CLT) (American Airlines).

Nassau (NAS) is another option

Bahamasair and Western Air both operate the Nassau → GGT route (~45 minutes) with roughly 120+ flights per month. The Nassau layover adds hours, and with kids, those hours feel like days. Plus, you may have to stay overnight in Nassau, which is expensive and wastes a lot of time.

Tip: Book direct to GGT whenever possible. Miami is the most consistent year-round option. Atlanta on Delta is our personal route — a roughly 2.5-hour flight that gets you on the island by early afternoon when timed right. For families flying outside the direct route windows, Miami is the most reliable hub.
