Klewenalp is a great mountain resort for any hiker, with a lot of fun amusements in addition to gorgeous views. The beautiful mountain trail is relatively easy walking, good for beginning hikers. We particularly like this area in mid October, when many of the trees turn bright colors.

After the hike, we always like to ride bike boards down the mountain, adding excitement to our day. For kids, there are picnic areas and playgrounds at both ends of the hike, with fun activities like an obstacle course, zip line, Schwingen wrestling ring, and barefoot path. They also have a climbing park if you like high adventure. Something for everyone.

The cable cars are open through end of October, a little later than other mountains.
