The main trail to the Morteratsch Glacier is on the valley floor. But if you follow the trail a bit up the hill, you can get some spectacular photos of the glacier ice from a different perspective. I've marked this spot near where we took the photos pinned here. It's just a few minutes detour from the main trail and definitely worth it.
