Lavaux vineyards - a terraced wine-growing region being part of UNESCO World Heritage, that covers about 30km along the lake and is known for producing some of Switzerland's best wines, particularly Chasselas. The vineyards date back to the 11th century, and the terraces were built by hand over centuries using local stone. Vevey situated on the shores of Lac Léman is providing stunning views of the lake and the surrounding Alps. It was also the home of the legendary actor and filmmaker Charlie Chaplin. Vevey's old town is characterized by charming cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and quaint squares. Alimentarium museum focuses on food, nutrition, and the history of eating habits. It offers interactive exhibits and insights into the cultural significance of food - you won't miss it as in front of the museum, there is a big fork in the lake ;)
