Amden - a tranquil alpine village situated high in the mountains offers breathtaking views of the picturesque Walensee lake. The Mattstock chairlift leads from the Amden village into the middle of the beautiful hiking area at 1292m above sea level. The mountain station at Walau is the starting point for some of the most popular hikes in Amden. For example the royal spear hike, the Amden high trail to Arvenbüel and the high trail Hasenboden with its great views. Climbers or paragliders also like to use the Mattstock chairlift to get to their starting point. There is also something special for the youngest - Munggeweg.
