Lac d'Émosson is a reservoir located in the canton of Valais, surrounded by stunning mountain views and situated on the border between Switzerland and France. It has been designed as a hydroelectric power station, providing 189 MW of electrical power to the region and beyond. It's an ideal place to relax, recharge, and take in the beautiful vistas of the Swiss Alps. The trail by the lake starts on the parking, is 7.2km long (out & back), with 304m elevation gain, 2h20 min on average (moderately challenging).
