Kona enjoys pleasant year-round temperatures with highs averaging 81-87°F and lows 68-75°F. You'll experience the hottest months during August and September and coolest months during December and January. Public transportation on the Big Island is limited, so renting a car is highly recommended for exploring. Be sure to bring your gear for hiking, snorkeling and other activities. Please wear a reef-safe sunscreen!
