It's the wild west out here - campsites get reserved quick.
Book your campsite as soon as reservations open—especially if you’re planning to camp in Banff, Lake Louise, or along the Icefields Parkway during summer or fall. Campsites in these areas are incredibly popular and often sell out within seconds once reservations go live on the Parks Canada Reservation System. Booking early gives you the best chance at securing a site in your preferred location, whether it’s a front-country campground like Two Jack Lakeside or Tunnel Mountain, or scenic spots like Waterfowl Lakes or Lake Louise Campground.
Reservations typically open in January or February for the entire season, so mark your calendar, create an account in advance, and log in early on launch day. If you miss out, check back regularly for cancellations—but don't count on first-come, first-served options, as those are limited and fill fast.
