If you’re visiting Banff or Lake Louise and want a stress-free, scenic way to get around, ROAM Public Transit is your best option. This public bus system is a great way to explore the Canadian Rockies without the hassle of traffic & full parking lots.

The different routes are found here different routes on https://roamtransit.com/. It goes to/from

  • Banff Gondola and Upper Hot Springs

  • Bow Falls and the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

  • Lake Minnewanka

  • Cave & Basin National Historic Site

  • Lake Louise

  • Johnston Canyon

  • Town of Canmore

Reservations are ONLY available for Lake Louise Lakeshore & the super connector which takes you from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake and back. We recommend getting the super pass which offers unlimited travel on all Ram transit services and also includes the Lake Connector Shuttle between Lake Louise Lakeshore and Lake Moraine (which is one of the only ways to to Moraine Lake).

Why Use ROAM Transit? No parking headaches which feels impossible during peak season. It's affordable compared to some car rentals. If you're tired from hiking, it offers a relaxing way to get back home or to your next adventure.

If you’re driving into the park, you can park at the Lake Louise Ski Resort (Park and Ride) and catch ROAM Route 8X or Parks Canada shuttles directly from there. This is a game-changer during summer when lake parking lots are often full by sunrise.
