The Banff Sign was recently moved in November 2025 from Mount Norquay Road to a safer location besides the Banff Train Station. It has a large parking lot and is more convenient and pedestrian-friendly for people who want to photograph the attraction.

The best time to visit is either early morning (before 9 AM) or or late afternoon to avoid the crowds and wait for the photo. Midday can be very busy, especially in summer.

For real-time parking availability and additional parking options in Banff, you can check out BanffParking.ca.
