The Goats and Glaciers Viewpoint is a quick stop along the Icefields Parkway that delivers exactly what you think it does. Epic glacier views, and if you're lucky, a chance to spot some wild mountain goats. It's located just south of the Big Bend. The pullout is easy to miss so be sure to lookout for the signs.

From the small viewing area, you get a wide view of the valley below and towering peaks above, including some impressive hanging glaciers. There’s no hike — just hop out of the car, walk a few steps. On a clear day, you get a vast view and it makes you feel tiny.

As the name suggests, mountain goats are occasionally seen here, especially on the rocky cliffs across the valley. They can be hard to spot, so take a few minutes to scan the slopes — binoculars help if you’ve got them. We've never actually seen them here but hopefully your luck is better than ours!

This a great place for a quick break to take some epic photos. While it might not be as famous as the bigger stops on the Parkway, be sure you don't skip out on this viewpoint.
