Chephren Lake is tucked away behind Waterfowl Lakes and relatively easy to get to. To get to this lake, you need to do a 8 km round-trip trail which starts from the Waterfowl Lakes Campground. It takes around 2hrs 15mins and gently winds through forest and boardwalk sections before opening up to the glacial lake. It's framed by the towering cliffs of Mount Chephren and Howse Peak.

The trail is mostly flat and family-friendly, though it can be muddy in places — waterproof shoes are a plus. Once you reach the lake, you’re rewarded with stunning views and a peaceful shoreline perfect for a snack or photo break. It’s never too busy, so chances are you’ll have plenty of space to yourself.

In winter, the parking lot will be closed so you'll need to start the trail from a bit further out but will be a nice snowshoeing adventure if you have the right gear.
