Message from Victoria White

The building which still stands at 65 Mott Street in Chinatown was built in 1824 making it the oldest tenement in New York City and possibly even the first in the United States. The building was the first to be constructed to house multiple families with two apartments on each floor; one in the front and one at the rear.
