Just steps from St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Hotel König von Ungarn is a place where the city’s noise softens, the air warms and the past lingers.

This is Vienna’s oldest hotel and it carries its age with grace, making it the perfect place to stop for a tea or coffee. At the heart of the hotel is its glass‑roofed courtyard, creating the sense of a garden suspended between indoors and out. What makes the space so atmospheric is its balance of warmth and shadow: the lighting is low and its corners softly dim. The tea arrives steaming, fragrant and comforting and somehow, in this room, even that simple act feels ceremonial.
