This is the famous black sand beach. It has black basalt columns and a really neat cave just a short walk over. We recommend getting there early because the parking lot is pretty small. We were there right after sunrise and basically had it to ourselves.

Another thing to note is that the waves can be kind of sneaky. Be careful because the waves can be really strong and drag you out.
