On Madeira's north coast, you'll find Seixal Beach, a spot renowned for its stunning beauty and my personal favourite beach! Also known as Porto de Abrigo do Seixal beach, this place is like a living postcard, capturing the hearts of sea, nature, and photography enthusiasts.

The landscape is a blend of colors: a black sand beach bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by green mountains and cliffs, creating a peaceful, natural amphitheater.

Formed naturally a few years ago near Porto de Abrigo and Clube Naval do Seixal, the beach offers good access and facilities like showers, a bar, and kayak rentals. It’s a popular year-round destination for water sports such as bodyboarding, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding.

Seixal Beach also serves as a great starting point for exploring Porto Moniz. From here, you can easily reach nearby attractions, including hiking trails through the Laurissilva Forest.
