This is desert camping done right. Dunes Insolites was by far one of our favorite stays during our time in Tunisia, and we couldn't recommend it more. Located just outside the small village of Sabria, Dunes Insolites gives you that deep-in-the-dunes feeling without totally roughing it. You sleep in traditional tents, but still get a hot shower, a good meal, and a real mattress. Who knew camping could be so comfortable?

The real draw, though, is the silence. No light pollution, no noise—just wind, sand, and stars. They offer camel rides, sandboarding, cultural experiences, and all the usual Sahara stuff, but honestly, even just sitting by the fire with a cup of mint tea feels special. Your dinner and breakfast are included in your stay.
