Tamaghza, also known as Tamerza, is the largest mountain oasis in Tunisia. It used to be called Ad Turres by the Romans. This place has a cool canyon and an old town that got abandoned after a big flood in 1969. Tamerza is all about fresh water from the nearby hills and stunning natural beauty. It's like a hidden gem tucked away near the Algerian border. You need to visit this oasis alongside Chebika and Mides. The main reason to come here is the canyon. You can hike through the canyon and rock formations up to the very top, where you can get a stunning view of the town below.

While technically free to visit, you may pay a small fee for a guide.
