Mia & Lev | The Nomad AlmanacThe ULTIMATE Travel Guide to Tunisia

If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a palace, this is your chance. Bayram Palace is a restored 18th-century Ottoman mansion right in the heart of the Tunis medina. Think painted ceilings, tiled courtyards, and arched hallways. The rooms are all different but all carry that sense of history. There’s also a hammam and spa on-site if you want to lean into the royal treatment! Breakfast in the courtyard is a highlight here as well.

Expect to be taking pictures your entire stay! The entire palace is impressive. But as with other medina stays, keep in mind that it is not very accessible, and any taxi will drop you off at the gate of the medina, as they aren't allowed inside.
