Chenini is a centuries-old Berber village in southern Tunisia, built into the side of a rocky hill. The town was originally founded as a fortified granary settlement, its elevated position made it easier to defend and the crumbling ksar at the top is still there to explore. It's one of the best things to see in the Sahara Desert region of Tunisia.

Here you'll find a mix of ancient stone houses, narrow pathways, and sweeping desert views makes it one of the most photogenic spots in the country. It’s a bit out of the way, but we highly recommend making the trip. It's one of the most unique places you'll see.
