Welcome to Tatooine. Literally. Hotel Sidi Idriss is where they filmed Luke Skywalker’s childhood home in Star Wars, and yes, it still looks the same. The hotel is carved into the earth, with simple cave rooms surrounding sunken courtyards.

Is it basic? Extremely. But it’s part film set, part hotel, part time warp. And if you’re a Star Wars fan, it’s kind of a must. You’ll sleep in a cave, eat dinner where Aunt Beru once served blue milk, and probably meet a few other sci-fi nerds doing the same thing. Not luxurious by any stretch, but definitely one for the memory books.

Unfortunately, when we came, we were unable to book a room, so we just opted for a visit, which was free!
