Lake Gregory, also known as Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a man-made lake located in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It was created in 1873 by British Governor Sir William Gregory to expand the town and provide recreational activities. The area was originally a swampy bog, but now it's a popular spot for water sports and leisurely strolls. With its picturesque surroundings and historical significance, Lake Gregory is a must-visit destination for tourists exploring the tea country hill city of Nuwara Eliya.
