Túnel de Guajataca is a scenic coastal landmark built in the early 1900s as part of Puerto Rico’s former railway system, the tunnel once carried trains transporting sugarcane across the island. Today, it’s a pedestrian-friendly passageway carved through limestone cliffs that opens up to one of the most beautiful coastal views on the island.

  • Short, Easy Walk: A flat trail leads from the parking area through the old railway tunnel.

  • Dramatic Ocean Views: On the other side, you’re greeted with sweeping Atlantic views, rocky cliffs, and crashing waves.

  • Hidden Beach Access: A staircase and sandy path lead down to a quiet stretch of beach below.

  • Sunset Spot: One of the best sunset views on the northwest coast.
