Slovanský dům, located on Na příkopě street in Prague, is a social, cultural, and commercial center built in the late 20th century. The center's core is a classicist palace, originally known as the Vernier Palace and renamed Slovanský dům in 1945. The palace has been a cultural monument since 1964 and is owned by the Capital City of Prague, which leased it for 77 years in 1997. The complex includes a multi-cinema, offices, shops, restaurants, and cafes. The palace, dating back to 1697, has undergone various transformations and uses over the centuries, including being a hub for German-speaking residents and housing the Central Puppet Theater. The multi-cinema within the complex opened in 2000 and has hosted several significant premieres.
