Just a short ride from the main hustle of Negombo, you'll find the incredible Angurukaramulla Temple. You can't miss the entrance—you literally walk through the mouth of a massive, ornate dragon to get inside, a feature said to keep evil spirits away. Inside, the temple is a feast for the eyes, with vibrant, detailed murals covering the walls and ceilings, telling ancient stories of Buddha's life. It’s a truly stunning place, home to a giant Buddha statue and the quiet, moss-covered ruins of a 300-year-old library, offering a peaceful escape and a glimpse into our rich heritage.
