The Louvre needs little introduction. It's one of the largest art museums in the world, and is home to Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and thousands of other artistic treasures.

The Louvre can be overwhelming, so my advice is to buy your ticket online in advance, arrive before opening (and you'll still queue), and choose just a few sections of the museum to see on one visit.
