Isidro Comedor is a local favorite, and a real gem. Run by Santiago and his family, who are originally from Arequipa but spent years living in New York City, the restaurant blends the best of both worlds: classic NY bagels and creative Peruvian flavors.

We loved coming here so much that it became a weekly ritual. The bagel sandwiches are outstanding. They are chewy, fresh, and stacked with delicious fillings. But the menu doesn’t stop there: the other dishes weave together local ingredients with international inspiration, making it a true NY/Peru fusion spot.

Eating here wasn’t just about the food (though it was incredible). It was also about the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Santiago and his family bring so much passion to their cooking, and it shows in every dish.

Pro Tip: Try the bagel sandwiches. They are what put this place on the map. But don’t overlook the rest of the menu; everything is crafted with love.
