The Magic Water Circuit in Lima is one of the city’s most surprising attractions: a dazzling nighttime fountain show in Parque de la Reserva. The park has over a dozen illuminated fountains, some interactive (yes, you can run through them!) and others choreographed to music and light. The highlight is the main fountain show, which uses projections, water, and lasers to tell the story of Peru’s history and culture.
We experienced it as part of an evening tour that also included Lima’s Centro Histórico and the San Francisco Catacombs, ending the night at the Magic Water Circuit. It was the perfect finale with it being so colorful, theatrical, and a reminder of how Lima blends modern creativity with its rich history.
Pro Tip: Arrive after dark for the full effect. If you’re visiting on your own, the park is safe and family-friendly, but a guided tour gives helpful context (and saves navigating Lima traffic at night).
