Valahnúkamöl is a unique and impressive geological formation in the Reykjanes region. Located on the tip of the peninsula next to the mountain Valahnúkur, this big boulder beach consists of well rounded stones that were formed by powerful storms, high waves, and surf. This place is perfect if you're time is limited and you really want to soak in the raw power or Reykjanes.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A beach made of big boulders in Reykjanes.

  • Best season: Any.

  • Best time of day: Sunset.

  • Nice to know: Be careful during winter since the boulders can get insanely icy/slippery.
