This is a unique little shop, located in one of the oldest houses in Iceland. Riishús ("Riis House") was built in 1862 in Borðeyri and used as a merchant house. It has been restored quite a bit and serves as a café during summer along with offering local handcraft and and occasional exhibitions.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A café, cultural handcraft shop and exhibition house in one of the oldest buildings in Iceland.

  • Best season: It's only open during summer (after June 1st usually).
