Gljúfrabúi (or Canyon Dweller) is situated in South Iceland, close to Seljalandsfoss waterfall. This stunning waterfall is easily accessible and must-visit for anybody looking to explore the nature of Iceland. The 40 metre tall waterfall is hidden behind a considerable cliff which faces out towards the South Coast and the Atlantic Ocean. On sunny days, beautiful rainbows can be seen dancing around in the waters spray. It's a quick visit but definitely worth it! Just know you might get wet so bring your waterproofs.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A hidden waterfall inside a cave

  • Best season: Any but during winter you might want to have small crampons

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: Get some waterproofs on and enjoy the spray!
