Skútafoss is a hidden gem located on the southeast corner of Iceland. It's easy to get to and when you're there you can easily spend 20-30 minutes enjoying the spot. If you're up for it, you can even get behind the main waterfall!

QUICK NOTES:

• What it is: A hidden waterfall on the southeast corner of Iceland.

• Best season: Summer and fall (the more rain has been the better).

• Best time of day: Around noon - midday (it's usually in the shade early in the morning and late.

• Nice to know: You can get a few different view points: Inside the overhang, on top of the overhang and on the other side of the river. You can also walk behind the main waterfall, just mind the slippery rocks!
