This is one of my favourite spots in down town Reykjavík. It's simply a beautiful lake in one of the older parts of the city. There are usually lots of birds there and during winter it tends to freeze over so you can walk across it.

  • Best time of day: Best light is at sunset.

  • Nice to know: It's really nice to walk around the entire lake.
