If you're looking for a place of solitude, this spot will be a good bet. The coastline of Drangsnes has an old gravel load which really takes you back in time. With nothing there except nature you're bound to get a feel for how Iceland used to be way back in the past. If you're here already, I'm guessing you're not in a total rush so I'd suggest you take you're time here, make a few stops and even take a short walk down to one of the beaches there which are usually full of driftwood and other gems.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: The coastline of Drangsnes, Westfjords, which makes you feel like you've gone back in time

  • Best season: Summer

  • Best time of day: Any

  • Nice to know: If you're going to be driving here I suggest you don't rush it, jump down to the beaches there and soak in the nature
