I'd say this is a must-visit spot if you ever find yourself in Stykkisholmur. It has great 360-degree views of the town, harbor, and surrounding islands. Connected to the mainland by a causeway, you can easily drive all the way to it and climb the stairs to the top for a fun experience and a chance to soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A small island that has been connected to the mainland by the town of Stykkishólmur, Snæfellsnes peninsula.

  • Best season: Summer.

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: It offers very good views of the town and you can also hike around the island which I definitely recommend.
