Between Arnarstapi and Hellnar is a fun hike along the coastline with quite a few viewpoints on the way. This is one of the less known one but just off the path there is a small river with a small waterfall running straight down the cliffs and you have Mt. Stapafell in the background.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A small river and waterfall with a pretty mountain in the background near Arnarstapi, Snæfellsnes peninsula.

  • Best season: Summer/fall (will most likely be frozen during winter).

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: You need to go off the main path for a few steps and be careful when you position yourself in case you want to get this exact view.
